On 6 August 2026, Associate Professor Theerawat Hungsapruek, Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), assigned Assistant Professor Dr. Ruchdee Binmad, Associate Dean for Academic and International Affairs, and Assistant Professor Dr. Wanamina Bostan Ali, Assistant Dean for Quality Development and International Relations, to welcome 36 academic delegates from 14 universities in Indonesia. The delegation comprised representatives from Universitas Adzkia, Universitas Bung Hatta, Pekanbaru College of Technology (STT Pekanbaru), Universitas Dharma Andalas, Universitas Tamansiswa Padang, Institut Teknologi Padang, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Barat, Universitas Ekasakti (UNES), Universitas Perintis Indonesia, Universitas PGRI Sumatera Barat, Universitas Mahaputra Muhammad Yamin (UMMY) Solok, Institut Teknologi dan Ilmu Sosial (ITS) Khatulistiwa, Universitas Prima Nusantara Bukittinggi, and Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Padangpanjang. The visit was organized to promote academic collaboration, facilitate knowledge exchange, and strengthen partnerships among higher education institutions.
During the programme, Assistant Professor Dr. Ruchdee Binmad delivered the welcome remarks to the delegates from the Indonesian universities. This was followed by an exchange of tokens of appreciation and a group photograph, symbolizing the friendship and strong relationship between the participating institutions. Subsequently, Ms. Pimpaka Sripaiboon, International Relations Officer, presented an overview of the Faculty of Management Sciences, including its academic programmes, activities, and initiatives that have been continuously implemented to enhance students' academic competence, ethical values, leadership skills, community engagement, and social responsibility, while preparing them to become global citizens in the 21st century. The session also provided an opportunity for delegates to exchange educational information and strengthen mutual understanding before continuing with a presentation on Academic Collaboration by Assistant Professor Dr. Wanamina Bostan Ali, who introduced opportunities for Student and Staff Mobility as well as other educational activities aimed at strengthening academic cooperation among universities.
The programme also featured a knowledge-sharing session by Dr. Duangthida Pattano on the Klonghae Floating Market Project and Knowledge Sharing. She shared the concepts and practical experiences of integrating academic knowledge with community development through the active participation of local communities and partner organizations. The presentation demonstrated how academic expertise can generate social and economic value while promoting sustainable development. It also provided delegates from the Indonesian universities with an opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences, paving the way for future collaboration in research, academic services, and community development.
This visit reflects the shared commitment of the Faculty of Management Sciences, Prince of Songkla University, and its partner universities in Indonesia to advancing internationalization through academic collaboration, knowledge exchange, and institutional networking. It also lays a strong foundation for future cooperation in curriculum development, student and staff mobility, collaborative research, and other joint initiatives, ultimately enhancing the quality of higher education and contributing to sustainable societal development.
